Background Information
Jan Owens
is the proprietor of WordPro, an office support service established in 1989 in
Central Florida. Jan is a native Floridian and has a lifetime of office experience
in medicine and pathology; law office management; paralegal and judicial assistance,
as well as research, analysis, and report writing, and desktop publishing. She
is a proactive problem solver and is committed to efficiency and productivity.
It is her passion for the creative and technical aspects of the printed word and
her high level of administrative skills that have earned her the distinction that
sets her apart from her peers. Jan has held elected office
as president of the former Daytona Beach Legal Secretaries Association and Governor
to the Florida Association of Legal Secretaries, among others. She has been an
active member of the Holly Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Ormond Beach Chamber
of Commerce, and is a dedicated member of Grace Bible Baptist Church. She
is also owner and operator of BibleTranscripts,
a transcription company devoted to support for pastors and other Christian leaders. Throughout
her career, Jan has served in a volunteer capacity for the hospital auxiliary
and the legal aid clinic. She has provided private support to programs for educational
associations, women’s programs, children’s development, community cultural
organizations, and Christian missions.
