allows you to dictate letters, reports, manuscripts at any time. All you need
is a phone! Dictate from your office, car, bedroom ... anywhere! Digital dictation
produces the clearest dictation available. As soon as you hang up the phone, your
dictation is ready for transcribing. Digital dictation produces the best quality
recording for a typist's most accurate listening capability. Pricing
for Phone Dictation
Our digital dictation system offers the most
accurate billing system in the industry because you select the billing method
most suited to your needs. . . by the line or by the word, depending on your style
and volume of work, or by the minute. "By-the-minute" billing means
that you pay only $2 per minute (4-minute minimum) for the actual time you use
in dictating. Tape
Transcription
If you furnish dictation on cassette tape, we will
do our best to transcribe your material as accurately as possible, but we are
limited by the quality of tape you provide. A poor quality audio ultimately costs
you more because of the time required of our typist and our proofreader; therefore,
your transcript may contain a number of "inaudible" notations. Audio
Tapes
For the best audio on recorded cassettes, use full-size
tapes when possible. Also use an attached microphone for greater sound quality.
Speak directly into the microphone to reduce background noise, which may be magnified
some 400% at a distance of just three feet. If we determine a tape to be of such
poor quality that we cannot produce an adequate transcript, we will notify you
before proceeding with the work. Pricing
for Tape Transcription
Pricing for standard transcription starts
at one cent per word and increases according to the type of skill necessary to
complete the work. Tapes of board meetings and conferences also incur a listening
fee, to allow for inactive periods on the tape. The listening fee is $15 per 30-minute
side. Specialized transcription requiring skills such as medical or legal knowledge,
for example, would be charged at a rate beginning at 1.5 cents per word. Handwritten
or Preprinted Material
Your handwritten or other printed materials
will be transcribed as written. Upon request, we will be happy to suggest grammatical,
structural, punctuation corrections for a small additional fee. Pricing

Pricing starts
at one cent per word and increases according to the type of skill necessary to
complete the work. Completion
Work begins on your project as soon as it is received. Generally, within 24 hours,
your work is ready for delivery. However, jobs larger than five hours of dictation
require advance notice for staffing adjustments to complete the job on schedule.
When necessary, we can provide portions of the work as completed.
